Our Approach
Woodpeckers have genuinely distinctive biology: they excavate their own nest cavities in dead or dying wood rather than using a box or building a woven nest, they communicate through drumming as much as through vocal calls, and their diet centers on wood-boring insects extracted with a specialized barbed tongue.
